Children need to have a well balanced diet, and that means that there should be plenty of nutritional value in everything that they eat with all foods preferably coming from the food pyramid.
The following recipes are good examples of what you can cook for your kids whilst giving them excellent nutritional value and great vitamins so that you are ensuring your child the best chance of living a full and healthy life.
Recipe 1:
Chicken and lemon salad
To prepare this you will need the following ingredients:
• green lettuce leaves
• four pieces of boneless chicken
• half a cup of lemon juice
• one table spoon of oil
• salt and pepper
• salad dressing
Directions:
1. Wash the lettuce and let it dry, then tear it into pieces and place them in a bowl.
2. Cut the chicken into small pieces and place them in a hot pan with oil, the cook both sides until the chicken is brown in color.
3. Then add the lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste.
4. When the chicken is done place it in the bowl containing the salad and mix.
Serve immediately.
Recipe 2:
Simple romaine lettuce
To prepare this dish you will need the following ingredients:
• ten leaves of romaine lettuce , which should be torn in to small pieces
• one tablespoon of olive oil
• half a cup of parmesan cheese
• salt
• half a teaspoon of black pepper
Directions:
1. Mix the lettuce and all the other ingredients in a large salad bowl.
2. Refrigerate until serving.
Recipe 3:
Peach freeze
To make the peach freeze you will need the following ingredients:
• half a cup of milk
• one cup of sliced peaches
• one tablespoon of sugar
Directions:
1. Pour the milk slowly into the ice cube tray and place in the freezer until it’s completely solid.
2. When it’s done, place the milk cubes in the blender together with the peaches and blend until they become smooth.
Pour it out and serve immediately.
All the recipes above are good for children as they follow the food pyramid guide. If you can feed your children well you can help your child to avoid problems in their future life. In fact, you can give your child the best possible head start. Much of the time, cures and remedies for acne and other skin problems, constipation remedies, tummy aches, headaches, lack of energy and many other common ailments can be found by changing the person’s diet and incorporating as many elements from the food pyramid into the diet as possible.
